Transport technicians, more than just a driver, are specially trained professionals certified in CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving. Our Services are specifically designed for the physically challenged with our ramp converted wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Stretcher (Select Cities)

We provide non medical, non medical necessity transportation (excludes locations in Texas, Alabama, Connecticut, & Ohio). Caliber will remain with the patient until they are under the care of those at their desired destination. Non medical necessity stretcher shall mean a person whose physical impairments render it impractical to use regular common carrier and who does not require provision of medical attention prior to or during transport.

What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?

Non-emergency medical transportation is for patients who require special medical attention while in transit from one location to another, and who do not require medical intervention or treatment or rapid transport to an emergency facility. Caliber VITAL is a long distance non-emergency medical transportation service, however we are not a Medicare or Medicaid provider. VITAL is the perfect alternative to the air ambulance, and is a service of CalvertHealth.

Who Uses Non-emergency Medical Transportation?

An ideal candidate for non-emergency medical transportation is a person who is medically stable, yet still requires medical support. For example, a resident of a nursing home who has recently been released from the hospital could use our service to return to the nursing home. Or perhaps a chronically ill patient might need medical transportation to get to a specialist in a distant location.

We Strive To Do More

Throughout the year, our employees and customers dedicate their time and energy to create positive change in their local neighborhoods. This commitment to helping communities thrive is exemplified as partners and customers participate in service projects around your community. Our employees will lead community service projects focused on the individual needs of the neighborhoods where they live and work. We encourage you to check out the projects that are taking place near you, and invite you to get involved to make a positive impact in your community. A sincere thank you to our Caliber employees, customers, community members and local organizations who joined together to make a positive impact.
